Our Story

My family immigrated from Saigon, Vietnam to Burlington, Vermont in the early 1990’s following the Vietnam War, with hearts filled with hopes and dreams for a better future. 

Sarom’s Café was created to realize my mother's passion to share food from her homeland. The cafe is named after my late father, who instilled in us his compassionate spirit to support one another to build community, and to foster relationships for generations to come. 

Having worked in the food service industry for more than three decades, my mother Tuyet, (also known by many as “Snow”) shares her passion for cooking, providing our customers tasty handcrafted recipes in a relaxing and open atmosphere.
